El Dorado County hosting meeting to explain election process

The El Dorado County election’s department will host a public meeting to provide a simplified explanation of the election process.

The forum will cover the following topics: voter registration; election dates and deadlines; vote by mail; tally of election results; and how to become a poll worker.

There will be time for questions and answers.

The meeting will take place Wednesday, Aug. 29, in South Lake Tahoe City Council chambers, located at the airport, 1901 Airport Road. The meeting starts at 6 p.m.
