Elder Options Inc. celebrates 25th anniversary
Elder Options Inc. will celebrate its 25th anniversary May 17 in South Lake Tahoe.
The company, which has offices in Placerville and South Lake Tahoe, was created in May 1988 by Carol S. Heape, MSW, CMC in response to the growing population of older adults in El Dorado County. It began as a home-based, one-person business by Heape, and has since grown into a well-recognized company with a satellite office and employees serving South Lake Tahoe and the Tahoe basin along with clients in Sacramento and surrounding areas, according to a press release.
Growth in the aging population and recognition of Elder Options as a community resource helped it to be named as One of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the Sacramento Region for five consecutive years.
The company currently has more than 70 employees and serves more than 200 clients a year, the release stated. Services have expanded with community needs with services to clients and families privately as well as contracts with El Dorado County, Alta California Regional Center, State of California – Dept. of Health Care Services (Medi-Cal waiver projects), the national M.S. Society and others. Geriatric Care Managers serve clients throughout the Sacramento Region and home care has grown to one of the most important segments in the company. A new Handyman feature assists clients even further with fix-it issues that clients can no longer handle on their own.
An open house celebration with live music, food and drinks will be held from 4-6 p.m. May 17 at the South Lake Tahoe location.
