Through an Impact Grant provided by the Elks National Headquarters in Chicago, Il., Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge 2670 is able to provide 50 snack lunches for the needy twice a month at Live Violence Free. The Elks also provide nutrition brochures, emergency meal vouchers from Denny’s, extensive food pantry items from Grocery Outlet, Easter baskets and holiday shopping for children.

The goal of the grant is to make an “impact” in the community and to raise awareness from local businesses and residents of the need to also support the excellent work that Live Violence Free is doing in helping adult and child victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
