Employment law workshop to be held

A workshop that will discuss employment and labor law updates for 2013 will be held Feb. 1.

Attorneys David Cohen and Nicole Harvey will lead the workshop, titled “Legal Update for California and Nevada Business Leaders and Managers.” The discussion will revolve around new laws taking effect this year, legislative updates in California and Nevada, and best pratices.

The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Chamber of Commerce, 169 Highway 50 in Stateline, Nev. Registration will take place and snacks will be provided at 8:30 a.m. Early bird registration costs $39 for Chamber, SHRA and SHRM members and $49 for nonmembers. Walk-in registration costs $49 for Chamber, Sierra Human Resources Association and Society for Human Resource Management members and $59 for nonmembers.
