Encarnacion ‘Cory’ Estepa

Funeral services will take place Nov. 4 for Encarnacion “Cory” Estepa, who died Nov. 1, 2005, at Barton Memorial Hospital.

Cory was born March 25, 1930, in the Philippines and had been a resident of Lake Tahoe since 1980. She was an employee at Caesars and Harrah’s until her retirement in August 2005. She enjoyed baby-sitting her grandchildren and sewing.

She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Al Estepa Sr.; sons, Al Jr. and Arsenio; daughters, Emilia, Elvie, Evelyn and Elisa; daughters-in-law, Josie and Rose; sons-in-law, Rey de Jesus, Ding Pinero, Art Cenidoza and Romy Abagat; grandchildren, Jenny and Aldrian Estepa, Bryan and Ronald de Jesus, Ana and Justin Estepa, Renelle and Rowena Pinero, Arlynne and Joy Cenidoza, and Chris and Michael Abagat; great-granddaughter, Gianna Cusi; brothers, Alfonso and Conrado Astronomia; and sisters, Joven Meneses and Lilia Bautista. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Alberto and Federico Astronomia.



Viewing will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with a Rosary at 7 p.m. at McFarlane Mortuary.

A funeral Mass will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Burial will be at Happy Homestead, followed by a reception at St. Theresa Parish Hall.
