Enjoy the arts this summer at Valhalla

The 2007 Valhalla Arts, Music and Theater Festival will kick off at 7:30 p.m. June 19 with Blue Turtle Seduction, a nationally acclaimed bluegrass funk band performing in the Boathouse Theater. The cost is $15 general admission, $12 for students and seniors and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets will be available at the door.
Divas and Decadence is scheduled at 6 p.m. June 28 throughout the site including Valhalla Grand Hall and the Boathouse Theater. The event will include, songs, dancing, desserts, appetizers and champagne. The cost is $45 general and $40 for students and seniors. Advance reservations are required by calling Tahoe Tallac Association at (530) 541-4975.
Every weekend throughout the summer, the festival will feature live concerts, theater and cultural events. In addition mid-week art exhibits, family art instruction, movie nights and open-mic nights are planned to entertain the entire family.
The Boathouse Theater is a turn-of-the-century structure now rehabilitated to a remarkable performing arts space. Valhalla Grand Hall is a registered historic site and has one of the grandest stone fireplaces in the West. Both offer a magnificent backdrop of Lake Tahoe – the perfect location for a picnic on the lawn before a show.
The Tahoe Tallac Association is a nonprofit association committed to promoting Lake Tahoe’s heritage, history and cultural resources. The Summer Festival raises funds to maintain the ground and buildings and provides an outlet for education, entertainment and interactive experiences on-site.
