Sierra Pacific Power Company and the Tahoe Earth Day Foundation will host the second annual South Lake Tahoe Film Festival tonight.

The event will feature 10 short films from the EarthDance Environmental Film Festival, which debuts each spring at the Oakland Museum of California.

Compiled into a 90-minute block, the juried compilation of comedies, documentaries, animations, and adventures invites audiences to laugh and celebrate their relationship to the natural world, according to the film festival’s Web site.

The festival will be held at the Duke Theatre at Lake Tahoe Community College in South Lake Tahoe. Doors open at 6 p.m., films start at 7 p.m. Admission is $10.
