Erosion control workshop today

A workshop is being offered today to discuss improvements proposed for the Rocky Point erosion-control project near the state-line area.

“Our goal is to improve the water quality of the stormwater runoff from Rocky Point, with the addition of concrete curb and gutter and detention basins,” said Chuck Taylor, associate civil engineer for the city of South Lake Tahoe. “We are very eager to involve those who live in the area and answer any questions they might have.”

The three-hour workshop is scheduled to be held at the Americana Village at 3845 Pioneer Trail in the Solarium. The project overview will be at 4:15 p.m. and repeated at 6 p.m. with the remainder of the workshop reserved for questions.
