Erwin, Long to wed

Provided to the Tahoe Daily Tribune. South Tahoe High School graduate Krystal Matsue Erwin and Jason Whitney Long plan to exchange wedding vows in August.

Krystal Matsue Erwin and Jason Whitney Long have announced their engagement and plan to be married in August 2007 at Santa Cruz, Calif.

The bride-elect’s parents are Kathy and Chris Campion of South Lake Tahoe and Richard Erwin and Rhonda Moore of Gardnerville, Nev. She is a 2000 graduate of South Tahoe High School and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in sociology with honors from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She will attend Santa Clara University for a master’s degree in counseling psychology and plans to graduate in 2007. A residential counselor with Janus of Santa Cruz Substance Abuse Treatment Center, she created and teaches a diversion program for first-time juvenile drug offenders in conjunction with Santa Cruz County Friday Night Live Partnership.

The future bridegroom is the son of Ron and Kathy Long of Felton, Calif. He graduated from San Lorenzo Valley High School in 1998 and is a student at San Jose State University. He plans to graduate in the fall of 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. He is a supervisor at Starbucks in Scotts Valley, Calif.
