Estate auction benefits Cancer League

An Estate Sale will be held on Oct. 13 at the home of Mabel Holmbo, 2569 Pinter Ave., to benefit the South Lake Tahoe Cancer League. The late Ms. Mabel Holmbo left her entire estate to the league. Proceeds from the sale will be used by the Cancer League to fund various services including transportation of cancer patients to treatment, grants to assist cancer patients with related medical bills and the Mabel Holmbo scholaship fund.

Pieces to be auctioned include beautiful hardwood furniture, appliances, home furnishings, antiques, a handmade quilt and various household item. Items to be auctioned may be viewed beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the auction will begin at 10 a.m.

The Cancer League has assisted cancer patients at Lake Tahoe since 1979. For more information on the auction or membership in the league call 573-1703 or visit the website at sltcancerleague.com.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — California lifted regional stay-at-home orders across the state Monday in response to improving coronavirus conditions, returning the state to a system of county-by-county restrictions, state health officials announced.
