Event to feature 40 artists
Tahoe Art League will host a fine arts exhibit open to the public Wednesday and Thursday at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. The event will feature original painting, sculpture and photography of 40 local artists.
The art will be available for viewing and purchase from noon to 9 p.m. and “Meet the Artists” receptions are scheduled from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Come mingle with artists and friends, enjoy refreshments, and try your luck with the raffle of Val Warner’s giclee print of her original oil painting “Bo and the Bumblebee.”
Warner’s highly collectible Western art and wild animal portraits are available nationwide at Wyland Galleries. Proceeds from the raffle go to the Tahoe Art League, a nonprofit organization that promotes the visual arts in Tahoe and provides scholarships to high school and college students and volunteer art education in the elementary grades.
Raffle tickets will be available at the Expo and at Tahoe Spirit Coffee Cafe in the Swiss Chalet Village and A to Z Insurance, corner of Fremont Avenue and Sandy Way near the Department of Motor Vehicles.
