Expert to address diabetes group

The Diabetes Support Group will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 15 in the Barton Memorial Hospital board room. There is no fee to attend. Guest speaker, Michele Cowee, R.D.,CDE, will discuss “Diabetes Self-management.”

Diabetes is a challenging disease, affecting 18.2 million people in the U.S. No matter what kind of diabetes you have, it affects many parts of your life. Whether you have diabetes, or are the spouse, parent, or friend of someone with diabetes, this will be an excellent program, focusing on new therapies.

This is an outstanding educational opportunity whether you have just recently experienced the diagnosis of diabetes, or you have had it for years.
