The featured entertainers at the Barton Foundation’s Gala will be The Fabulous Pelicans, a six-piece band from San Diego that performs disco, R&B, country and standards.

The 15th annual Foundation Gala takes place Nov. 11 in Harveys Convention Center. Tickets are $150 per person or $1,650 for a table of 10 with additional sponsorship benefits. Reservations must be made by this Friday.

The Fabulous Pelicans received the “U.S.O. Entertainer of the Year” award and were chosen to perform at John Travolta’s American Cinema Awards party in Beverly Hills.

The band is fun to watch, a blast to dance to, and its members are playfully interactive with the audience. They are fronted by the talented and versatile Caroline Martin who was a member of the award-winning Las Vegas hit, “Legends in Concert.” Their extensive play list ranges from Billie Holliday to Frank Sinatra to current Top 40.

The attire for the Foundation Gala is black tie optional. A champagne greeting, complimentary photographs, the silent auction, cocktail and hors d’oeuvres hour, which all begins at 5:30, leads into the 7 p.m. elegant dinner, followed at 9 p.m. by an entertaining live auction and, of course, dancing. During the cocktail hour a unique Martini Luge will be featured. A large ice sculpture will offer premium vodkas and gins slowly poured down the luge ice carvings, chilling the drinks to perfection. Five different martini flavors will be offered.

Plan to enjoy a wonderful evening of fine food, wine, fabulous auction items and live entertainment. Wine will be provided by Harveys during dinner. A sumptuous dinner presentation will feature five elegant courses. There will also be a full, no-host bar open throughout the night.

Contact the foundation at (530) 543-5614 for an invitation, to make your reservations or to answer your questions.
