Fair entries accepted

A representative from the El Dorado County Fair Office will be at the South Lake Tahoe Branch County Library at 1000 Rufus Allen Blvd. Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accept fair competition entry forms and fees.

Forms and entry guides will be available at the library. Participants may enter in showcase categories including fruits and vegetables, arts and crafts, feature exhibits, flowers, home arts (quilting, baking, sewing, preserved foods,) home brewing, junior literary arts, livestock, minerals and mining, computer art and Web page design.

Entry forms are due by Saturday, May 19. Participants may send in their entry forms to the Placerville Fair office at P.O. Box 1537, 100 Placerville Drive, CA 95667. Mail-in entries must be post marked by May 19.

South Lake Tahoe residents may also make their actual entries at the library Saturday or they can take them to the County Fair Office June 8 or 9.

Best of Show winners will be eligible to compete in the 2001 California State Fair.
