Fall weather moves in a week early

Simon Smith

Fall-like weather will move into our region today with gusty winds and cooler temperatures along with abundant sunshine. Look for west to southwest winds in the 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph possible throughout the day. A lake wind advisory is in effect for all area lakes today from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Highs will warm into the upper 60s to lower 70s. Lows will drop off tonight if the winds die down into the mid 30s to mid 40s but possibly in the upper 40s to near 50 if the winds stay up all night — Should be a good day to fly a kite!
