Fancy party planned for Library Week

Provided to the Tribune

The Lake Tahoe branch of the Douglas County Public Library will celebrate National Library Week from April 12-19.

The library, at 233 Warrior Way in Zephyr Cove, will host a Fancy Nancy Party at 1 p.m. April 12 for children 4 and older as well as adults. The deadline to register is April 11. The Fancy Nancy character is based on the book by Jane O’Connor.

Children are encouraged to dress up and come to the library for a tea party. Participants will make tea sandwiches and decorate fancy eyeglasses, and each child should bring something plain and something fancy to share. Adults accompanying children must dress up.
