Fans chase after autographs during Thursday practice rounds
STATELINE, Nev. – Fans of Stephen Curry, George Kittle, Miles Teller and other celebrities clamored for a chance to grab their autographs during the practice rounds on Thursday, adding to the mounting excitement for the start of the tournament tomorrow. Though it slowed the rounds down significantly for some, fans were elated to have their brush with fame.
Stephen Curry
After a flurry of autographing yesterday, Curry focused more intently on his game today, sometimes bypassing the crowd to get to the next hole. It’s to be expected for the co-favored NBA star, with odds of 2.4-1 shared with Mardy Fish. Curry did stop to sign a few items at each hole, but his head certainly seems like it’s in the game this time around.
Miles Teller
Known for his breakthrough role in “Whiplash” and his performance as Rooster in “Top Gun: Maverick”, Teller played to much applause this morning, with many fans lining up to get a chance to speak with him. Teller seemed in good spirits, giving hugs to quite a few admirers.

George Kittle
Newcomer George Kittle certainly had a warm welcome from plenty of 49ers devotees. One family, who flew from London, has been calling this “The Kittle Tourney” because their son was so excited to see the pro tight end.

Kittle was particularly slowed down by the autographs he gave out, but his generosity stuck out to many attendees in today’s practice rounds.
Larry Fitzgerald
The former wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals was one of the most highly sought after today, with some fans following him for his entire practice round.
As the morning wore on, Fitzgerald had to turn down some fans for autographs until he finished his rounds. “I’ve got to keep my promise,” he told one fan, clapping him on the shoulder briefly as he moved through the crowd.
The fan sighed dreamily. “I’m never washing this shoulder again,” he said with a smile.
