Festival features youth art classes
Art classes for children 5 years of age and up are being offered two days a week at the Anita Gibson Cabin, Tallac Historic Site. The classes are part of the Valhalla Summer Arts and Music Festival.
Artist Gina Calderon will teach the classes from 10 to 11:30 a.m. and noon to 1:30 p.m. each Thursday and Friday through Aug. 17. The fee of $10 per child per class includes the cost of materials. Children may drop in or call (530) 577-3633 for more information.
The children will work with pen and ink and watercolor and will learn to make masks, nature collages and leaf prints.
