A fund-raiser to benefit Pamela Guzzi, a local woman who is battling cancer, will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday at the Hope Valley Outdoors Center, 14655 Highway 88, a quarter mile past Sorenson’s Resort.

The People and Music Festival will include a concert with live music, hot food, beer and wine, homemade desserts, skiing, snowshoeing, singing, dancing and celebrating.

The event will feature a raffle with prizes including gift packages, ski passes, massage certificates, paintings and photography by local artists, ski rentals, furniture, free DVD rentals, handmade mandala, reiki and hypnosis. Raffle tickets are $5 for two or $10 for five. The drawing will take place at the event.

To purchase raffle tickets or to help with the benefit, call Katie Wheelan at (530) 577-0903 or (530) 694-2266.
