Fifty artists will be featured at festival
Anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind art experience combined with outdoor fun can head to The Lake Tahoe Festival of Fine Arts on Saturday and Sunday, July 7 and 8.
Not your typical craft fair, this festival combines unique creative wonders with interactive entertainment, all in a Tahoe outdoor setting at South Tahoe Middle School, 2940 Lake Tahoe Blvd. Admission is free.
The festival will feature more than 50 fine artists and their creations. Gift ideas, food booths, live music, dancing, Aikido shows and activities for kids are just part of the line-up. Fine art on display will include painting, glasswork, jewelry, photography, woodwork, ceramics, sculpture, wearable art and metalwork from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The Lake Tahoe Festival of Fine Arts is a fundraiser for Tahoe Arts Project, a non-profit organization that brings professional performing arts to more than 5,000 young students in South Lake Tahoe and provides cultural enrichment and diversity for the community.
Various food and beverage booths will be ready to serve including Cold Stone Creamery, German sausages, roasted corn and a chuck wagon with burgers, nachos and hot dogs.
