Fight leads to three arrests

Three teenage boys were arrested Tuesday in connection with fight suspected to be gang-related, authorities said.

South Lake Tahoe police responded Friday to a report of a fight in the 1200 block of Ski Run Blvd., authorities said.

Five males fought two other males, police said, and all were juveniles.

One youth was struck in the head with a rock, while the other was hit with a stick, sending him to the ground where the five young men repeatedly kicked him, authorities said. Police and paramedics responded to the scene, and both victims received medical treatment, authorities said.

On Tuesday, three detectives from the South Lake Tahoe Police Department and a school resource officer went to South Tahoe High School to question five 16-year-old young men, authorities said.

Three were arrested in relation to the incident and were taken to a juvenile center, authorities said. All three youths were booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit a crime, participating in a criminal street gang, assault with a deadly weapon and brandishing a firearm.
