Local Freshies, in association with South Lake Brewing Company, will host a premiere of the multi award-winning film “Life Cycles” Friday, March 22, at South Lake Brewing Company.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7.

The cost is $5 for all ages.

This premiere is a fundraiser for the Tahoe Area Mountain Biking Association (TAMBA) and a kickoff to the mountain biking season.

“Life Cycles” took over five years to make and, using the bicycle as the vehicle, the film takes viewers on a journey through nature’s most beautiful, dramatic and sometimes unforgiving landscapes, according to a press release from Local Freshies.

The film, directed by Ryan Gibb and Derek Frankowski, stars Mike Hopkins, Thomas Vanderham, Riley McIntosh Graham Agassiz, Matt Hunter, Cam McCaul, Evan Schwartz and Brandon Semenuk.

“Pulling the viewer into nature’s most powerful elements, you’ll be spellbound by its visual imagery.”

“From Canada’s golden prairies to a bicycle factory in Japan, Life Cycles explores the concepts of creation and destruction — in nature, machine and man.”

Also at the event, there will be a raffle with swag from Outdoor Gear Company and beer served by South Lake Brewing Company, located at 1920 Lake Tahoe Blvd.
