Filmmaker wins award
The National Broadcasting Society hosted its 42nd annual award ceremony March 12 at Universal City.
Films from college students throughout the nation were sent in during the year and were judged in various audio and film categories.
Ryan Loetscher, son of Fred and Linda Loetscher of South Lake Tahoe, won the competition and received a national award for the category of Comedy Film Audio and Video.
His film, “The Ryan Report: Hawaiian Style,” beat out four other finalists in that category.
Loetscher will return to the Seattle area to work on continuing his filming.
His work has an editing flair that makes it award-winning material and he hopes to find his niche in the film industry that will utilize his talents.
