Financial advisor to expand by partnering with South Lake Tahoe local

Roger Pratt, LPL Financial Advisor with more than 45 years experience in the financial service industry, partnered with South Lake Tahoe talent, Nicohlas Abelow to announce the future of investments, Abelow, Pratt & Associates, LLP.

Abelow was named partner at Abelow, Pratt & Associates, LLP and has been in the financial services business during his almost 10 years at Ameriprise Financial. His leadership skills supersede his reputation as the captain of the South Lake Tahoe High School football team as well as the ski team.

Abelow is an active member of the Carson City Rotary Club as well as being involved with Tahoe Regional Young Professionals.



His mentor in this merger, Pratt, started his career on Wall Street as a trainee with Paine Webber in 1969 and returned to Southern California as a stockbroker with Dean Witter in 1971. As a trust Officer at Union Bank, Pratt moved into commercial banking, later holding position as president at three community banks; MidCities National Bank, Bank of Orange County, and Pacific State Bank. Pratt returned to traditional stock brokerage in March 2000 at Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley, at Stateline, Nev., and for the last four years has been an advisor with Ameriprise Financial in South Lake Tahoe.

Pratt is actively involved in the community having served as president of the local Rotary Club. Active sailor at OCSC Sailing in Berkeley, member of Windjammers Yacht Club SLT, and member of Edgewood Men’s Club.



Tahoe Chamber will hold a ribbon-cutting Feb. 11 at 4 p.m. with a cocktail party/meet to follow until 6 p.m.
