Fire and Ice Fashion Show a success

Tribune

Students at South Tahoe High School recently presented the 2002 Fire & Ice Fashion Show to a full house. The glamorous event, which took place in the Horizon Casino Resort Cabaret Room, was a great success. Amanda Mooney, Erin Quandt, and Amber Wiberg coordinated quite a production with the assistance of director, Laurel Brock. Fire props on stage created by Matt Magas glimmered in the lights, offering just the perfect surroundings to enhance the striking models.

Local boutiques sponsored the event, allowing the models to live their dreams of walking down the runway in gowns valued up to $1,000 each. Sidestreet Boutique accommodated the “Formal” category with extraordinary gowns and tuxedos. Clothestime, Millers Outpost, Savvy, 1000 Bathing Suits, Pazzaz, Sidestreet Boutique, Something Borrowed Something Blue, and The Village also supported the event.

Corine Bell and Brittney Nobriga showed excellent communication skills commentating for the show. Their clever words and spectacular appearance brought a professional touch to the entire event. Melissa Cook, Andrea Nobile, Saleen Hancock, and Kristine Familia creatively introduced each category with a great sense of humor and true dramatic demeanor. The Tahoe Jugglers, Chris & Nick Smith, dazzled the audience by spinning the balls and pins round and round. The ladies and gentleman who modeled in the show were striking, responsible and trained well. Everyone who participated in the show did an amazing job.
