Fire commission to meet Friday

A commission tasked by the California and Nevada governors to review land management policies in the Lake Tahoe Basin after the Angora fire will hold its second meeting on Friday.

The meeting of the California-Nevada Tahoe Basin Fire Commission starts at 9 a.m. at the Incline Village General Improvement District Chateau, 955 Fairway Blvd. in Incline Village.

Items on the agenda include an inter-agency presentation on defensible space, possible development of additional gubernatorial emergency declarations for the Lake Tahoe Basin, and discussion on grading and noise restrictions.
