Director Robert Attinger selflessly served the citizens of the Lake Valley Fire Protection District from his appointment to the board in April 1990 until his retirement this month.

He has always showed extraordinary commitment to serving the needs of the thousands of residents of the Lake Valley Fire Protection District.

During a recent board of directors meeting, board members gave special recognition to Attinger’s leadership, vision and planning in the creation of Cal Tahoe Emergency Services Operations Authority, making a fire-based, all-risk ambulance service in the community a reality. He was presented a plaque and a Lake Valley Fire Protection District wristwatch in appreciation of his years of service.

The board of directors of the Lake Valley Fire Protection District, staff and the citizens of the community express their profound gratitude and deep appreciation to Attinger for all his years of exemplary service.
