Fire reported at former Bill’s Casino

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District responded to a report of a fire at the former Bill’s Casino building early Wednesday morning.

Someone lit a plastic construction covering at the building on fire about 3:40 a.m., according to a call for service log provided by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

A casino employee was able to extinguish the fire shortly after it was reported and the fire did not spread to the building, according to the service log.
