It’s time to dress up and put on your dancin’ shoes. The Lake Valley Firefighters Ball is coming. The 46th annual event will begin at 8 p.m. March 14 at MontBleu Resort Casino and Spa.

Music will be provided by Livewire, one of San Francisco’s best dance bands. Numerous prizes will be awarded, including season passes to Heavenly, Kirkwood and Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resorts, a one-year full membership to Sierra Athletic Club valued at $559, and a $500 cash giveaway. Also, many local businesses have donated gifts that will be given out during the traditional raffle drawing.

Tickets for the ball can be purchased in advance for $30 at Raley’s, Lira’s Market and Lake Valley Fire Stations Nos. 6 and 7. They also will be available at the door for $35. For more information, call (530) 577-3737.

Proceeds from the Lake Valley Firefighters Ball are used to support community programs, buy specialized fire/rescue equipment and enable firefighters to pursue advanced education.
