Firefighters to host ‘Fill the Boot for Burns’

South Lake Tahoe Firefighters will host their annual “Fill the Boot for Burns” campaign on April 6-7.

On those days, off-duty firefighters from South Lake Tahoe Fire Department will shake their turnout boots at Safeway on Johnson Boulevard and at the interesection of Lake Tahoe Boulevard and Park Street to collect donations to help “Fill the Boot for Burns.” Donations will support burn prevention and recovery programs in Northern and Central California. Organizations that will benefit will include Firefighters Kids Camp for Young Burn Survivors, Little Heroes Preschool Burn Camp and other programs funded by the Firefighters Burn Institute.

Firefighters will collection donations April 6 from 4-9 p.m. and April 7 from noon to 8 p.m.
