thousands packed the beaches and amphitheater at Lakeview Commons and El Dorado Beach Saturday night to witness a pyrotechnic masterpiece put on during the Lights on Lake fireworks show.

Fireworks by Grucci, the South Shore’s new fireworks contract for 2015, executed the show to the sound of expertly choreographed patriotic musical scores including “God Bless the USA,” “The Star-Spangled Banner,” “ROCK in the USA” and several other songs.

Eric Guevin with Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District said Saturday night the show went off without a hitch.

In a 25-minute show, almost 5,100 pounds of fireworks fired from three barges near Edgewood Tahoe Golf Resort on the Nevada side of the South Shore.
