Lake Tahoe is closing out the summer season with a bang – lots of bangs. A Labor Day Weekend fireworks display will take place on Sunday, Sept. 6.

South Lake Tahoe is one of the only West Coast resort destinations to provide a Labor Day Weekend fireworks show.

Launched from an offshore barge, the display will ignite the Alpine sky at about 8:30 p.m. The fireworks explode into various designs, shapes and colors and are visible throughout town. Numerous vantage points include the Tahoe Queen and M.S. Dixie II paddle wheelers, Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, along with Regan, El Dorado and Nevada beaches.

A simultaneous broadcast of music will be featured on local stations KRLT-FM 93.9 and KOWL-AM 1490 Lake Tahoe.
