First open mike night at Tallac Historic Site

Provided to the Tribune

“Bare Bones” open mike night will be presented by the Lake Tahoe Writing Club June 7. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre, Tallac Historic Site, 3 miles north of South Lake Tahoe on State route 89. The event is free to the public.

This is the first in a series of monthly open mikes at the Boathouse Theater during this year’s Valhalla Arts & Music Festival. This is the perfect intimate setting for those who live in the spotlight or have never been on stage before.

In the tradition of open mike nights, all varieties of acts are welcome from stand up comics to musical duos, and as always, spoken word and other performance art. Call ahead to make sure you’re on the performance list. With the breathtaking view of the lake behind the performers, this series of open mics is unmatched in both this historic venue and priceless performances.
