First-place Vikings up league record to 6-0

South Tahoe completed the first half of the 3A Sierra League boys’ soccer schedule with its sixth win in as many games Thursday against Sparks.

Kory DiGrande and Cody Williams headed in goals in the first half, and Williams scored on a through ball by Kyle Wallace to complete the scoring. Keeper Peter Pielaet-Strayer went the distance for the shutout.

“We are working on some new formations and trying some new things,” said STHS coach Bill Spicer. according to coach Bill Spicer.”Ryan Caro, Cody williams, Derek Caro and Kory DiGrande are really stepping up and holding down the midfield duties well.

“The defensive unit of Sammy Martinez, Griffen Boles, Evan Sanchez have truly bolstered the backline.”
