First Tahoe Air flight arrives at Friday celebration

Sally J. Taylor

Staff, supporters and everyone excited to have an airline based on the south shore of Lake Tahoe, are invited to celebrate Tahoe Air’s inaugural flight on Friday.

The party begins at 4 p.m. at the Lake Tahoe Airport to witness the 4:50 p.m. landing of the VIP flight from Los Angeles.

Champagne, beverages and hors d’oeuvres will be served in the upstairs area of the airport terminal.

Tahoe Air will offer five flights a day to the Lake Tahoe Airport from Los Angeles and San Jose.

The corporate offices in the Nugget Building in Stateline now include a reservations center with 13 agents receiving calls and room to expand to 31 agents.

On Monday, the center received about 260 calls with many bookings coming from travel agents in Los Angeles and San Jose, according to reservations manager Kaylynne Segal.

For reservations information, call 888-TAHOE AIR. The office can be reached at (530) 586-8246.
