Floyd R. Hampton

Floyd R. Hampton passed away Sept. 25, 2006, at Carson Tahoe Hospital. Floyd was born June 28, 1940, in Paragould, Ark. After high school Floyd continued his education four more years. Floyd was the business manager for Alpine County School District from 1983-2006. He was in the U.S. Air Force for three years. He loved movies, music and traveling.

Frank was preceded in death by his wife Frances in 1989.

Frank is survived by son Fred Hampton of Carson City; Jeffrey and Tamara Hampton of Sacramento; daughter Veronica Hampton of Atlanta; daughter Jennifer Hampton of Atlanta; daughter-in-law Robin Warren; sister Dorothy Slatton of Arkansas; sister Dora Weiss of St. Louis, Mo.; sister Betty Folkner of Atwater, Calif.; sister laura Carter of Atwater; sister Thelma Dingler of Arizona; sister Wanda Doss of Visalia, Calif.; brother Bill Hampton of South Carolina; brother Granville Hampton of Detroit; brother Avery Hampton of Barstow, Calif.; brother Wilbur Hampton of Visalia; and grandson Logan Hampton.

Graveside services are today at Davis Cemetery in Davis, Calif. Walton’s Chapel of the Valley in charge of arrangements.
