Foam Fest at Squaw Valley benefits Achieve Tahoe
Beer is good. Lots of beer is even better. Add in some live music you have one helluva afternoon.
Those of legal age can get their fill of tasty craft beer Saturday at the 29th annual Foam Fest. More than 25 craft breweries will be on hand, including local breweries Alibi Ale Works, Fifty Fifty Brewing Company and Truckee Brewing Company. Regional favorites such as The Brewer’s Cabinet, Sufferfest Beer Company, Knee Deep Brewing Company and more also will be represented.
The event features performances by The California Honeydrops and Mojo Green.
Hosted at the Village at Squaw Valley, the event benefits Achieve Tahoe, a local nonprofit that helps those with disabilities realize the benefits of recreation. Achieve Tahoe’s mission is: “to provide affordable inclusive physical and recreational activities that build health and confidence,” according to its website.
All inclusive beer tasting tickets are $35 online and $40 at the door on the day of the event. Entry tickets that don’t include beer tasting are $10. Visit achievetahoe.org for more information and to purchase tickets.
Not a big beer fan? Head to the Village at Squaw Valley Sunday, Sept. 2, for the 30th Annual Alpen Wine Fest. The event features wines from over 40 wineries, live music and a silent auction. Proceeds benefit Can Do MS, a nonprofit that helps families living with MS. Visit squawalpine.com/events for more information.
The Village at Squaw Valley is located at 1960 Squaw Valley Road in Olympic Valley.
