This week’s Action: Food and film lead the week

Autumn Whitney
Action Editor

After a wild election week, it’s time to wind down with some regional relaxation. Be on the lookout for an increase in can’t-miss festivities as the holidays grow ever nearer. In addition to wine tastings and film premieres, live local music is a great way to put your mind at ease.

Here are three fun picks for the week:

1. An Evening of Food & Wine Tasting

Soroptimist International of South Lake Tahoe’s 46th annual event is a big highlight every fall, and is sure to draw in a large crowd. Over 20 wineries and 15 restaurants will be on site, so come ready to indulge.

2. “Braaap 16” Premiere

‘Tis the season for snow films. The Loft’s screening of the newest snowmobiling movie, which features deep powder and breathtaking jumps, is a great event for the whole tribe.

3. Pray-for-Snow Party

Celebrate oncoming resort openings with multiple pray-for-snow parties around the Basin. The Fresh Ketch hosts the first of these events on Thursday, Nov. 17.
