Food contracts awarded at South Shore beaches; special meeting canceled

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – South Lake Tahoe has awarded short-term contracts for food and beverage service at Regan Beach and Lakeview Commons.

Lake Taco will again operate at Regan Beach, while Free Bird cafe will provide concessions at Lakeview Commons. Both businesses will operate through the summer under the contracts.

A request for proposal process will take place in the fall for a five-year contract for food and beverage service at the beaches.

A special meeting of the City Council, scheduled for 3 p.m. today, to discuss the award of a concessionaire’s contract at the locations has been canceled.
