Food distribution to take place

Provided to the Tribune

A food distribution will take place Sept. 25 at the American Legion.

Produce, bread, pastries and other items will be included in the free, farmers market-style distribution, which is open to everyone. There are no requirements to be eligible for food.

The distribution will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the hall, 2748 Young St. in South Lake Tahoe. It is made possible by a partnership between Food Bank El Dorado County and California Emergency Foodlink.

The next distribution will take place Oct. 23.

The food bank is also looking for five to six volunteers to help with the distribution. Volunteers are needed from 9:30 a.m. to noon to help place produce on tables during the distribution. To volunteer, call 530-621-9950.
