Football season kicks off

The football season gets underway tonight with season opening games for South Tahoe and Whittell high schools. South Tahoe travels to Placerville to take on El Dorado High School at 7 p.m. Whittell will take on Tonopah High School at home with a 7 p.m. kick off. The Warriors put their new offense to the test last weekend scrimmaging Incline and North Tahoe high schools. Quarterback Austin Buyack ran in two touchdowns and threw two touchdowns in 20 plays. Hughston Norton collected a 40-yard touchdown pass and Colin Buchholtz brought in a 35-yard touchdown pass.
