Forest service official to address Kiwanis Club

The Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra will host a special guest day at noon May 24 in the Creekside Room at Lake Tahoe Community College.

Don Lane of the U.S. Forest Service will be the guest speaker. Lane, the author of “Tahoe Tales of Bygone Days and Memorable Pioneers,” will talk about Old Tahoe and honor longtime residents of the South Shore for their contributions to the community.

The event will offer a great opportunity for guests to learn about Kiwanis Club of Tahoe Sierra as well as Kiwanis International. The service club is dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. If you are interested in a special invitation to attend contact Marie Foster at (530) 544-2864 or Cheryl Millham at (530) 577-2273 by Wednesday.
