Forest Service resumes Kingsbury burn

U.S. Forest Service fuels management crews will resume prescribed fire

operations on Kingsbury Grade near North Benjamin today, weather permitting, according to a statement from the Forest Service.

The project area is approximately ten acres and operations are expected to continue through the week, if favorable weather conditions continue.

Residents and visitors can expect to see smoke from prescribed fire project

area. Efforts will be taken to reduce actual or potential smoke impacts on community areas, according to the statement.

Prescribed fire projects are designed to reduce wildfire risks to communities and critical resources.

State and local fire management agencies may also conduct prescribed fire work this week.
