Foundation benefit at "Ernie’s Night"

Tribune

Ernie’s restaurant is supporting the Lake Tahoe Community College Foundation with an American favorite — hamburger, fries and a homemade milkshake. Paul Bruso, owner of Ernie’s, is donating all the food and his staff will donate their time to host an “Ernie’s Night” from 5 to 7:15 p.m. Feb. 26.

For just $7participants get a hamburger, fries and milk shake and help out the foundation in the process. All proceeds from the night go to the foundation.

More than $35,000 a year goes directly to LTCC students in the form of scholarships from the foundation. This year 23 students from South Tahoe and Whittell high schools are benefiting from the foundation for the Future Scholarship, which provides up to two years of tutition for graduates with a grade point average of 3.0 and above.

The foundation also supports cultural activities for the community like writing workshops, classical concerts and guest lecturers. To purchase tickets to “Ernie’s Night” contact the foundation office at (530) 541-1660,

Ext. 344.
