Foundation to host annual Kinder Cup Race

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The Kinder Cup Race for young skiers and snowboarders age 6 and under will return for its 10th year at Heavenly Mountain Resort from noon to 1 p.m. Jan. 31, Feb. 21 and March 21.

The race for young skiers and snowboarders age 6 and younger is presented by the Heavenly Ski and Snowboard Foundation. All ability levels are welcome and parents can assist.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and pre-registration and early arrival is encouraged.

The $20 entry fee includes a lift ticket for the World Cup Chair. A practice run is at 9 a.m. and the main race begins at 10 a.m. Placing is based on the combined time of two runs. All participants receive medals.

A barbecue and raffle will be held immediately following the race. Tickets for the lunch are $7 and include a hot dog or hamburger, chips and a beverage. Tickets can be purchased at registration. For information, call the foundation at (530)541-7354, or e-mail heavenlyssf@yahoo.com.
