Mrs. Ilvento’s fourth-grade class from Lake Tahoe Environmental Science Magnet School earned a pizza party at Lake Valley Fire Department for being the class that collected the most “Box Tops For Education” this year.

Box Tops for Education is a program that gives money to schools for collecting 10 cent coupons on items such as: Zip-Loc baggies, Gogurts, General Mills products, Avery products, and more. Schools can earn up to $20,000 a year, according to a press release. This year LTESMS earned $1,500. To participate, cut, collect, and drop off Box Tops at any of the participating schools in our school district.

Thank you to Lake Valley Fire Department for hosting the pizza party for the fourth year. Also, thank you to Joe from Grand Central Pizza for donating the yummy pizzas.
