Frank Payne Holby

Frank Payne Holby passed away Sept. 1, 2006, in South Lake Tahoe. Frank was born April 27, 1922, in San Francisco.

Frank graduated from San Francisco State University with a bachelor of arts in accounting. Frank served in the Army in China, Burma and India during World War II. After his discharge in May 1946, he joined the reserves and was discharged as captain in April 1982.

Frank worked as an auditor for the state of California Board of Equalization for 36 years. Frank enjoyed stamp collecting and was a member of the American Legion.



Frank is survived by his wife, Lorraine K. Holby of South Lake Tahoe; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and John Barker of Palo Alto, Calif.; daughter Hazel Holby of Redwood City, Calif.; stepson and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Cathy Keil of Rescue, Calif.; stepdaughter Judith Falk of Pine Grove, Calif.; stepdaughter and son-in-law Janet and Ernie Claudio of South Lake Tahoe; grandchildren Julie Romero of Pioneer, Calif., Jill Wade of Pine Grove, Calif., Leslie Keil of San Francisco; great-grandchildren Brett and Brenna Wade of Pine Grove.

At his request, no services were held.
