Fredericks’ cleanup day May 14

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The public is invited to participate in a clean up of the Fredericks’ Site for the summer. The site hosts the Summer Environmental Exchange program in June. After the clean up there will be a barbecue.

The Fredericks’ Site is located at Fallen Leaf Lake. To get there from South Lake Tahoe, follow Highway 89 toward Emerald Bay, and turn left at Fallen Leaf Road. Follow that for about a mile to forest service road 1212.

Those planning to attend should RSVP to azeender@tahoebaikal.org.

The Tahoe-Baikal Institute operates the Fredericks’ Site under a 20-year permit with the US Forest Service. Each year it serves as a host site for the Lake Tahoe portion of our Summer Environmental Exchange, and other programs run by the institute. Fredericks’ is an original homestead site on Fallen Leaf Lake and a historical part of the Lake Tahoe Basin.
