Free chipping offered to homeowners

STATELINE – The Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District will provide free chipping services to homeowners who are completing defensible space to make their homes safer from wildfire.

The program is funded through the Nevada Fire Safe Council in the Tahoe Basin.

Homeowners should review the guidelines and fill out a chipping request form. These forms are available at http://www.TahoeFire.com. Hard copies are available at the Roundhill Fire Station #3, at 193 Elks Point Road.

Homeowners do not have to be home the day they are scheduled for chipping.
