Free e-waste recycling at middle school

The city of South Lake Tahoe and Electronic Waste Management are hosting a free e-waste recycling event from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 28-29 at South Tahoe Middle School, 2940 Lake Tahoe Blvd.

Items accepted include televisions, fax machines, VCR and DVD players, printers, cell phones, toner cartridges and other items. No household appliances, furniture, paint or fluorescent bulbs will be accepted.

Charges apply to Nevada residents for television and computer monitors only.
